THEORY OF KNOWLEDGE ORAL PRESENTATION - WHY THE FORMS ARE VERY IMPORTANT - TK/PPD FORM

http://blog.joekoss.me/2016/08/tok-presentation-as-compliance-not.html#comment-form

This year marked the second year of using the new holistic IB rubrics for marking both the Theory of Knowledge essay and presentation. It was also the second year of the TOK Presentation being subjected to moderation procedures by external IB examiners. The moderation procedures follow more or less the same procedures IB uses for all other IA moderation, using dynamic sampling and tolerance bands.

Except for one glaring difference: the work being moderated for the TOK Presentation is not the product itself, as it is with all other externally moderated IAs. Rather the work moderated is a "Presentation Planning Document (TK/PPD)," which asks the students to, in 500 words or less, describestateexplainoutline, and show how their presentation "succeeds in showing that TOK concepts can have practical application."

What Is the Difference Between a Raven and a Crow

This video is a good example of using Sense Perception (especially our sight and hearing) to distinguish birds that may seem similar. So here is an example of a Real Life Situation (we have both species in South Mumbai) where our knowledge can be expanded using technology but also our own observations, So shared knowledge and personal knowledge can become part of the zone of exchange.

My thanks to the original poster on youtube for the video and this information:

In this video we show " What is the difference between a raven and a crow ?" Know that in the western US we have Common Ravens and American Crows, so that's what this clip is comparing.

After viewing this video, test your Raven knowledge or learn more about ravens and crows by taking our "Raven Crow Training Test." Twelve action clips of real birds with original sound just as you would find them in the wild plus three bonus clips challenges all corvid lovers to try to identify the Common Raven from the American Crow.

Examples from all over the western United States include; The Grand Canyon - Arizona, Santa Fe and New Mexico, Olympic Peninsula - Washington, Bryce - Utah, Crystal Cove State Park - California and more.
