To what extent does mankind as a whole and as individuals control its own destiny? Are we ourselves "Creative" or are we all mere pawns in God's "Master Plan"? Why is there so much suffering in the world and what kind of God would allow it to happen? Universal questions about faith and philosophy are at the heart of this full featured film which was inspired by the legend that a group of concentration camp prisoners conducted a mock trial against the Almighty God. From all walks of life, a physicist, a glove maker, rabbis, a law professor and at least one criminal weigh the evidence and offer thoughtful arguments taken from history, science, theology and personal experience.

This film may disturb some students and adult viewers too.
It's important as it shows the role of language in Nazi Germany, comparing Jewish people to bacteria and rats.
It's important to face this issue as the demonisation of the Jews with the language of racial hatred, programmed and conditioned the German people for the mass deportations of their neighbours and the lack of critical thinking about what was really happening to them in the 'resettlement' of Jews in Poland.
The 'resettlement' was another euphemism for the mass murder in the death camps.
Those who dehumanise, demonise and despise people because they are different to us, are part of the same process of bigotry that fuels hatred and murder.
Note how language is brutalised when people become angry and call each other names in war time. In the Rwandan Civil War, the HUTU TRIBE labelled the TUTSI TRIBE 'cockroaches'. Civil war and genocide followed.
See the film "Hotel Rwanda" to see parallels in the use of language for demonisation.
We need to see the whole human race as one species, one group we can call 'humanity' made up of different groups but one family.

Principal Don Gardner welcomes students, parents and staff members to 2013 IB Graduation Ceremony. Distinguished Guest Speaker: Mr. R. Gopalakrishnan

Principal Don Gardner congratulates 66 IB students at BD Somani International School Graduation 2013.

GUEST SPEAKER AT GRADUATION:Mr. R. Gopalakrishnan

Mr. R. Gopalakrishnan has been with the Tata group since August 1998, he is currently an Executive Director of Tata Sons Limited.

Mr Gopalakrishnan inspired students by stressing the importance of critical thinking for success. He also predicted that India would continue to rise economically and that this generation would see India achieve its true potential.

Mr Gardner introduced each of the 66 students by name and spoke of their past , present and future.

Watch it during your summer vacation!
It helps explain the phenomenon of 'conspiracy theories' in our modern world. The murder of such a powerful charismatic leader, JFK, by the narcissistic underachiever Lee Harvey Oswald created the conditions for a belief in 'secret forces' controlling global events.
