Watching the movie that portrays Caeser's life before his rise to power was interesting to see, juxtaposed to Julius Caeser by Shakespeare which shows his gradual fall from power.
ReplyDeleteAs the movie progresses, his increasing arrogance and his change in attitude towards his soldiers, becomes more apparent. It was also interesting to see how much Caeser appreciated loyalty. I really enjoyed the movie as I got to see Caeser in a new light.
I never knew a lot about Julius Caesar and the Roman Empire, but this film made me know how all of these events happened 2000 years ago. The acting in this movie was impeccable, as the actor who played Caesar slowly grew more power hungry and arrogant the closer he was to conquering the Roman Empire
ReplyDeleteThis film according to me was a unique piece of historical evidence that portrayed what life was like before Christ. This documentary gave me new understanding about Julius Ceasar and the Romn Empire .I had always admired Ceasar without really knowing what he was like and this give an accurate representation of his passion ,love ,admiration ,determination and his lust to conquer over the greatest empire in the world .
ReplyDeleteThis film was interesting to watch since I got a deeper insight into Caesar's character. The novel Julius Caesar revolves around the conspiracy leading to his death and its aftermath so I was fascinated by learning about the reasons that led to him to his death. Towards the end, he displayed arrogance and autocratic behaviour which led me to understand why the Roman Republic was set on defeating him. Power is dangerous, absolute power is absolutely dangerous. Caesar's lust for power is evidently recognised here. This video was helpful in shaping my complete understanding of Caesar as a character and a piece of art.
ReplyDeleteI've always had an interest in Julius Caesar, this film proved to me how interested I was and left me wanting to watch more.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion it perfectly displays Julius caesar's change in attitude when he was faced with resistance.
I would gladly attend another class about Julius Caesar with Mr Callahan.
As a History student, this film was an extremely accurate representation of Julius Cesar's life. The battle scenes were really stunning and captured the real battle which happened. The script was very well written because certain words and phrases seemed to convey the emotions very aptly. Moreover, I would like to commend the actors on porting their characters very well. To conclude, I would say that I want to see another film about Julius Cesar and learn more about his life in this club.
ReplyDeleteJulius Caesar has always fascinated me. He was a great ruler but I strongly believe that he took his responsibilities lightly after his power led to his corruption. He became more power hungry as a result. The video helped shine some light on Caesar's personality and his attitude towards others. Overall, an amazing video and I would definitely want to watch more videos based around Caesar and his rise to power.
